Can't Log In

If you're having trouble logging into your website, don't worry—most login issues can be resolved in just a few minutes.

This guide walks through the most common causes and solutions.

Before You Begin

Make sure you're logging into the correct website.

Your WordPress login page is usually one of the following:

https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin

or

https://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php

Replace yourdomain.com with your website's domain name.

Common Login Issues Incorrect Username or Password

If you're seeing an "Incorrect username or password" message:

  • Double-check your email address or username.
  • Verify that Caps Lock is turned off.
  • Try typing your password into a text editor first to ensure there are no extra spaces.
  • If you've recently changed your password, make sure you're using the new one.

If you're still unable to log in, try resetting your password.

Forgot Your Password

If you can't remember your password:

  1. Visit your WordPress login page.
  2. Click Lost your password?
  3. Enter your username or email address.
  4. Check your inbox for password reset instructions.

If you don't receive the email within a few minutes:

  • Check your Spam or Junk folder.
  • Search your inbox for "WordPress."
  • Verify you're using the correct email address associated with your account.

If you still don't receive the reset email, contact Rank Really High Support at support@rankreallyhigh.com for assistance.

Too Many Failed Login Attempts

For security reasons, your website may temporarily block login attempts after several failed password attempts.

If this happens:

  • Wait 15–30 minutes before trying again.
  • Use the password reset option if needed.
  • Avoid repeatedly guessing passwords, as this may extend the lockout period.

If your account remains locked after waiting, email support@rankreallyhigh.com.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If your account uses two-factor authentication (2FA):

  • Make sure you're entering the most recent verification code.
  • Verify your authentication app or mobile device is available.
  • Check that your device's date and time are set correctly.

If you've changed phones or lost access to your authentication method, contact support@rankreallyhigh.com for assistance regaining access.

Browser Issues

Sometimes your browser stores outdated login information.

Try the following:

  • Refresh the page.
  • Open the login page in an Incognito or Private Browsing window.
  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  • Try using a different browser.
  • Try logging in from another device.

Login Page Keeps Refreshing

If you successfully enter your username and password but the login page simply reloads:

Possible causes include:

  • Browser cookies being blocked
  • Cached website data
  • Security plugin restrictions
  • Temporary website configuration issues

Try:

  • Clearing your browser cache and cookies.
  • Using an Incognito or Private window.
  • Trying another browser or device.

If the issue continues, contact Rank Really High Support at support@rankreallyhigh.com.

White Screen or Error After Logging In

If you're able to log in but see:

  • A blank white screen
  • A Critical Error message
  • A 500 Internal Server Error
  • Another unexpected error

This usually indicates a website or plugin issue rather than a problem with your login credentials.

Please contact support@rankreallyhigh.com so our team can investigate.
